Vampires, Phantoms and Flying Mice

The first indoor meeting of the new season was well attended. Thank you to Paul Wilkinson, senior ecologist from the Canal and River Trust, for an interesting evening in which we learned a lot about this much maligned species.

For those of you who are not keen on bats it is important to remember that bats are fantastic for pest control! Apparently if there were no bats we would be overrun with insects! The balance of nature is a wonderful thing and so important to get right.
