BIRDS OF PREY AND OTHER CREATURES

Our Autumn/Winter programme of indoor meetings for 2022/23 began with a difference! On Friday 21st October we were treated to close encounters with some fascinating birds and creatures by Matthew from Stay Free Falconry. These included a barn owl, a melanistic barn owl, a green nymph stick insect, giant millipedes, a Madagascan hissing cockroach, a bearded dragon, a royal python with a colour mutation and a Costa Rican striped knee tarantula. Besides learning interesting facts about each creature we had the opportunity to both view them at close quarters and to handle them under supervision.
